Words are powerful. They can create. They can destroy.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. So the things I consider mind capturing might be not so beautiful to another. Here are some of my favourites among the words that are generally considered most beautiful in English language.
‘Nemesis’ is the name of the Greek Goddess of retributive (punishing) justice. The word ‘Nemisis’ is also used to describe a victorious rival.
Elixir – Elixir is also a hypothetical substance that alchemists believed to be able to turn base metals into gold.
‘Hiraeth’ is also used to address the yearning for the lost places of your past.
‘Aurora’ is the name of the ‘Goddess of the dawn’.
The word aurora is also used to describe the appearance of streamers of reddish and greenish light, specially in North and South magnetic poles.
